Ange Postecoglou ‘to stay at Tottenham’ under one condition
Ange Postecoglou may have more time on his side at Tottenham despite being under heavy pressure.
Tottenham’s latest 2-0 defeat to Fulham piled even more misery on the North London club, and even more pressure on Postecoglou who has had to face up to the supporters on more than one occasion.
After the defeat, Postecoglou was involved in yet another altercation with a fan, with Mathys Tel having to play the peacemaker to stop emotions from spilling over.
However once again, Postecoglou remained in a job, and he may do so for the new campaign.

Europa League success is a must for Tottenham
Given the dismal season they have endured domestically, success via the Europa League is their only remaining chance of winning their first trophy in over 17 years.
Should Tottenham achieve that, Paul Robinson thinks that Postecoglou will be afforded another season at the club, when speaking exclusively to Tottenham News.
He said: “I think there’s only one way he keeps his job now, and it’s winning the Europa League. I think if he wins the Europa League, he will keep his job next year. I think if he doesn’t, yes, you look at the injuries they’ve had this year, but they’ve got players back now. They’ve had players back for a long time.
“That [Fulham] result in isolation in a good season is not a bad result, because Fulham are a good team, especially at home. But you put that result into a pile of other results, and the way that the team have played, it’s not been good enough this season. Look, they’re sat 14th in the Premier League.
Premier League | W | D | L | P |
Tottenham (14th) | 10 | 4 | 15 | 34 |
“I think you struggle to sack a manager if he wins that. I mean, yes, on the grander scale of things, you look at the other cup competitions. You look at the Premier League. If you win the Europa League, excuses and players’ injuries become accepted all of a sudden, because you go, yeah, it’s not been a great season. We’ve had injuries. We’ve not had the team that we wanted. We’ve not played great at times.
“If he wins the Europa League, he starts next season as the manager, without a doubt, and then it’s a huge season for him next year. Like I said, I think the only way he can keep his job is by winning that.“

Tottenham cannot afford to stumble in the Europa League
When taking into account their league position and the exits from both domestic cups, Tottenham have become somewhat of a laughing stock in English football.
The only way to rectify that is by winning a trophy, showcasing just how important it is that Spurs win the Europa League.
Not only is it essential for silverware purposes, but also for European football next season – it would be a disaster if Tottenham aren’t involved in that next campaign.
