Ange Postecoglou to be frustrated at Tottenham after Giovani Lo Celso transfer update
John Wenham feels “frustrated” that Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been unable to secure a move away from the club.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose is hopeful that the 28-year-old can be moved on once he returns from the 2024 Copa America.
As reported by Estadio Deportivo (4 July), Real Betis are interested in re-signing Lo Celso but are in no rush to get a transfer across the line.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that Ange Postecoglou won’t be happy after this update.
“It seems as if this Lo Celso transfer saga is dragging on,” Wenham said.
“I am just very frustrated, and I am therefore sure that Postecoglou is as well, that Lo Celso doesn’t seem to have any concrete interest in him.
“Therefore, hopefully after the Copa America is over, we can look to secure a permanent transfer for him.”
Will Real Betis sign Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso?
It is no surprise that frustration has emerged over the amount of time it is taking Lo Celso to secure a move away from Tottenham.
There is very little chance that the Argentinian will be offered a new contract by the club and his current deal is set to expire in 2025.
Therefore, if Lo Celso is not sold this summer, there is a very high chance of the club losing him for free.

As a result, a solution needs to be found for the player’s future.
In other Tottenham news, the club are to reach an agreement for the sale of one player after a Fabrizio Romano update.
