Ange Postecoglou stance on Marcus Rashford transfer to Tottenham mooted
Tottenham continue to be linked with a move for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
As reported by the Daily Mail (8 January), Ange Postecoglou’s side have entered the race to sign the wantaway forward during the January transfer window.
Any potential deal will depend upon how much of Rashford’s £325,00-a-week salary Manchester United are willing to cover.
However, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – isn’t so certain that Postecoglou would want the 27-year-old at Tottenham.
“I wouldn’t want Rashford to be honest,” King said.
“There is too much baggage involved, although he is a very good player. I’m not sure Postecoglou would fancy the baggage that comes with signing Rashford.
“He is on an awful lot of money at Manchester United. However, it seems as though he is no longer in the manager’s plans and needs to find a new club. I just don’t see where he fits in at Tottenham.”
Tottenham to avoid signing Manchester United star Marcus Rashford?
Rashford is no doubt a player full of quality. However, it is hard to see United agreeing to subsidise his waes to allow him to join a direct rival.
Therefore, with Spurs incredibly unlikely to cover his full salary, it is difficult to see a deal for the Englishman getting done. As a result, Daniel Levy and Tottenham must focus on other targets.
One of those targets is Randal Kolo Muani [via GiveMeSport, 9 January], another big-name forward who supporters would no doubt be pleased to see signed.

Revenues are only continuing to increase in North London. Therefore, there is no excuse for Spurs not to sign at least one of their high-profile targets.
