Yves Bissouma finished at Tottenham amid £26million transfer update on Saturday
Yves Bissouma could soon be on his way out of Tottenham as the North London club prepare a bid for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
Bissouma has been incredibly inconsistent since arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Daniel Levy thought to be prepared to accept a multi-million loss on the Mali international.
As reported by TV Play (11 January), Ange Postecoglou’s side are ready to offer £26million for Frattesi’s services, although it could take a big money contract to convince the player to make the move.
Therefore, this could open the door for one midfielder to move on from the club, and of all the players in that position, Bissouma is most likely to make way, with fans recently urging the club to sell the 28-year-old.
Tottenham to sell Yves Bissouma and sign Davide Frattesi?
It would be hard to argue against Frattesi being an upgrade on Bissouma.
The 25-year-old is a key part of an Inter Milan side going strong in Italy and Europe, while Bissouma often fails to make an impression in a struggling Spurs team.
Therefore, replacing Bissouma with Frattesi would make sense, especially if it wouldn’t cost the club too much money. Spurs might have one slight problem, with Bissouma expected to refuse a transfer exit.
However, if it is made clear to the former Brighton man that he isn’t part of the plans at Spurs, he might decide to move on in search of regular first-team football, and signing Frattesi would be as clear a sign as any.
In addition to his overall inconsistency, Bissouma is out of contract in 2026.

Therefore, if Spurs don’t want to offer him a new deal, now is the best time for the club to cut ties.
