Tottenham player ratings v Fulham: Tel threatening in 7/10, 3/10 stinks
Tottenham fell to their 15th league defeat of the season this afternoon, this time at the hands of Fulham.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have no chance of any success in the Premier League this season, though integrity is certainly still to be played for.
Having only recently advanced past AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, signs of fatigue were present in the Tottenham side, who failed to pose any real threat in the game against Fulham.
Rodrigo Muniz’s strike in the 78th minute opened the scoring before Ryan Sessegnon came back to haunt his former club to double their advantage, with Tottenham falling to a 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage.
Tottenham News rates the performance of each Spurs player.

Tottenham start slowly at Craven Cottage
Guglielmo Vicario – 6
Had very little to do in the game. No chance with the goals.
Djed Spence – 5
Spence has been one of the biggest success stories for Tottenham this season, but often found himself out of position against Fulham. Gave the ball away several times.
Cristian Romero – 7 (for Maddison 67′)
Provided Tottenham with a slight injury scare, though he was able to continue. Slightly less effective on the ball than usual, but he dealt well with anything defensively.
Ben Davies – 5
Very composed on the ball at the back but often looked vulnerable at the back. Should have done better for Fulham’s second goal.
Destiny Udogie – 6
Gave the ball away cheaply on far too many occasions. Had more of an influence once Son Heung-Min was introduced, but Tottenham still need more from him.
Archie Gray – 7
Gray’s best position is certainly in midfield, and he showcased that with an excellent level of composure on the ball. He was strong in the tackle and was certainly the best of the midfield three. Moved back into defence when Romero was withdrawn.

Yves Bissouma woeful v Fulham
Yves Bissouma – 3 (for Bergvall 45′)
Far from his best today for Tottenham. He was hooked after 45 minutes, and rightfully so. Bissouma was wasteful in possession and just generally lacked any positive influence.
Rodrigo Bentancur – 5 (for Scarlett 85′)
Bentancur has struggled since his injury. Occasionally played a loose pass and could have offered more defensive stability. Caught in no man’s land for Fulham’s goal.
Brennan Johnson – 4 (for Son 45′)
Like Bissouma, Johnson was hooked at halftime, having offered nothing to the game in the opening 45 minutes. Sloppy on the ball and wasteful in attack.
Fulham v Tottenham | Minutes played | Pass accuracy | Completed dribbles | Chances created |
Brennan Johnson | 45 | 55% | 0 | 0 |
Mathys Tel – 7 (for Odobert 76′)
Tel was Tottenham’s biggest attacking threat- Very tidy on the ball and was full of energy down the left flank throughout the clash.
Dominic Solanke – 5
Solanke just had no involvement in the game for Spurs in the opening 45 minutes. While much of it was down to the lack of service, his inability to impact was concerning.
Substitutions
Lucas Bergvall – 6 (for Bissouma 45′)
Steady performance after his introduction
Son Heung-Min – 7 (for Johnson 45′)
Provided an injection of quality in attack after coming on.
James Maddison N/A (for Romero 67′)
Wilson Odobert N/A (for Tel 76′)
Dane Scarlett N/A (for Bentancur 85′)
