Tottenham ‘make huge Mathys Tel’ mistake, Son Heung-min replacement found

Tottenham arguably need a successor for Son Heung-min in the upcoming transfer window as the South Korean forward struggles in N17.

Spurs signed Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich in the winter transfer window, but the French youngster has hardly made an impact so far.

Dominic Solanke’s contributions at the North London outfit have been negligible, and their attacking frailties were on show as Chelsea won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday (3 April).

Richarlison has been another forward who has barely had an influence on the Lilywhites’ campaign as they sit 14th in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou future to determine Tottenham transfer strategy

Ange Postecoglu’s future at Spurs is up in the air, as he’s failed to bring the best out of the squad this season.

While the Australian manager has had to deal with several injury issues at the North London outfit, there can be no excuse for their current predicament.

The Lilywhites are winless in their last four league matches despite some important players returning to the starting lineup.

With the Europa League Postecoglou’s only salvation, failure to win the trophy may lead to his sacking, potentially altering Daniel Levy’s transfer plans once a new head coach is hired.

Spurs decision on Tel a massive error as Son successor identified

Tel hasn’t convinced many for Spurs to trigger the £45million option to buy him from Bayern.

The 19-year-old centre-forward is yet to find the back of the net for the North Londoners in the Premier League after a slow start to life in N17.

Supporters wouldn’t be surprised to see the France Under-21 international leave the Lilywhites at the end of the season, but Levy is about to make a grave error.

Tottenham are ready to trigger their option to buy Tel from the Bavarians next summer, according to GiveMeSport.

The news outlet reports (4 April) that the North London outfit are leaning towards permanently signing the French youngster in the coming months.

It’s been claimed that the 19-year-old is being viewed as a potential long-term replacement for Son at the Lilywhites, who could be sold next summer.

Spurs are likely to seal a move for the Bayern loanee as the hierarchy have belief in him and feel the centre-forward fits their project.

While Son hasn’t had the best of seasons, Tel hasn’t shown anything at the North London outfit to suggest he’s capable of replacing the 32-year-old South Korean forward.

The North Londoners will be making a huge mistake if they go forward with the 19-year-old’s signing.
