Tottenham ‘can sign off on Son exit’ after £45m transfer development

Son Heung-Min could be in line for a summer exit from Tottenham if they can find an adequate replacement.

While it has been a dismal campaign for Tottenham, the same can be said for Son, who has endured a troubled season of his own.

Having previously had a reputation of being one of the best forwards in the Premier League, Son’s regression at Tottenham has been genuinely sad to watch, and it seems like only a matter of time until his stay comes to an end.

However, as with any departure, Spurs will need to sign a player to replace him, and as per the latest update on Justin Kluivert, it seems like the cogs are beginning to turn in North London.

Kluivert linked with Tottenham move

Tottenham have a huge summer ahead on the recruitment front if they are to avoid a repeat of this season’s shortcomings, and it seems like they are already planning for it.

According to a report from Caught Offside (24 March), Tottenham are a “strong candidate” to seal the signing of Kluivert, who has enjoyed a magnificent campaign with Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are said to be wanting a fee in the region of £45m, which for a player of his quality and age is more than reasonable.

Of course, Bournemouth may be of interest to Spurs supporters given the links connecting the North London outfit with Andoni Iraola if Ange Postecoglou faces the sack.

If that were to happen, the likelihood of a deal for Kluivert would likely increase, which would, in turn, allow Tottenham to seek greener pastures when it comes to the future of Son.

Daniel Levy must pursue Kluivert deal

Spurs are in need of reinforcements this summer, regardless of what happens between now and the end of the campaign, and Kluivert is the type of signing they need.

Players capable of making an immediate impact and improving the squad will be essential if Tottenham are to progress next campaign.
