Timo Werner doomed at Tottenham after David Ornstein reveal
Timo Werner may want to pack his bags to leave Tottenham after David Ornstein’s latest reveal.
The German did not set the stage on fire by any means when he initially arrived in North London on loan from RB Leipzig midway through last season.
However, a return of two goals and three assists in 13 Premier League games was enough for Spurs to take another punt on the attack, signing him on a season-long loan with an £8.5million buy option [BBC].
It was essentially a second bite at the cherry for Werner on English soil after his flop spell at Chelsea.
Things are not looking promising for him though, as he has managed just three assists in 17 league games this season.
Going by Ornstein’s latest report, the writing is surely on the wall for the 28-year-old.
Timo Werner doomed as Tottenham pursue Randal Kolo Muani
Ornstein reported via The Athletic on 6 January that Spurs are among the clubs actively looking to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The North London giants, along with Manchester United and Juventus, have emerged as the leading contenders to sign the Frenchman, who is regarded as one of the best versatile attackers available.
Tottenham roped in Werner, who can play across the front three, on loan for that very season last year.
However, with the attacker showing no signs of improvement, it appears Daniel Levy is prepared to enter the market to sign a better player.
Son Heung-min, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson have established as Ange Postecoglou’s preferred front three this season.

Werner will find playing hard to come by at Tottenham if they manage to sign Kolo Muani on loan from PSG.
At 32, Son is not capable of playing every single game for Spurs, especially in Postecoglou’s system.
However, Kolo Muani would be comfortable to operate on the left wing if he is not already leading the line.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs’ deal to sign this Bayern Munich ace has stalled.
