‘Son has questions to answer’ as Mathys Tel footage emerges at Fulham v Tottenham
Tottenham need to ask serious questions of their captain after Mathys Tel was forced to deal with fan questions alone.
Spurs fell to yet another Premier League defeat, this time at the hands of Fulham on Sunday (16 March) at Craven Cottage.
Goals from Rodrigo Muniz and former Lilywhites man Ryan Sessegnon proved to be the difference on a day that sparked rage from the away supporters.
Somehow, Tel got dragged into this and was captured involved in a heated exchange which has resulted in more questions than answers.

Tel left to deal with Tottenham fan anger
The Frenchman signed on loan for the North London outfit during the winter on an initial loan deal from Bayern Munich.
Frustratingly, the 19-year-old has scored just one goal since joining but has put in some industrious performances nonetheless.

As a result, it was bizarre to see footage of Tel emerge after the defeat at Craven Cottage of him speaking directly to irate travelling fans.
There are all sorts of reasons why this just isn’t right, whether that be his age, inexperience or the fact that he is on loan.
The question is, where were the experienced players to come and take him away from such an aggressive situation or to take his place.
Spurs captain Son Heung-min should have spotted this sort of thing and dragged the youngster away and back to the dressing room.
Son in the wrong after Fulham defeat
There is no lack of leaders in the Lilywhites changing room under Ange Postecoglou but not one of them could step up to help the French loanee.
It shouldn’t be down to him to address fans, and yet that is exactly what happened.
Serious questions need to be asked of the likes of Son in this moment to understand why he didn’t step in and help Tel in such a situation.
As the club captain, you have the responsibility to look after your players whoever they are, especially when they are a teenager and new to English football.
Unfortunately, this somewhat sums up the state that Spurs are in at the moment that a 19-year-old is the only one willing to show accountability for yet another poor performance.
It is a positive sign of his character, but it is a sad indictment of where the N17 club is right now and what Son is like as skipper.
