Postecoglou ‘furious’ with Solanke after what happened in Fulham v Tottenham

Tottenham have struggled to pose any attacking threat in the opening stages of their Premier League encounter with Fulham.

Any chance of success in the league for Tottenham is non-existent, though they still have to give a good account of themselves from now until the end of the season.

However, as of the halftime interval, they have failed to do that, with Fulham subduing any attacking threat from Ange Postecoglou’s side with the score level at 0-0.

If Spurs are to get anything from the game, he simply has to make a change before the second half.

Dominic Solanke anonymous v Fulham

Perhaps unsurpisingly, Tottenham were not the favourite ahead of the game, though very few would have anticipated the lack of composure and threat that has been showcased in their performance so far.

Neither side have shown any real attacking quality, but Postecoglou will be furious at the lack of involvement Dominic Solanke has had.

The striker has failed to win the majority of his duels and has very rarely been available for a pass, meaning that any attacking attempts have resulted in Fulham winning the ball back and countering themselves.

Of course, Tottenham have very few options when it comes to that area of the pitch, but the introduction of Son Heung-Min could be the glue they need to make something of the possession they get in the final third.

Solanke isn’t the only one yet to impress at Craven Cottage, showcasing the need for changes at the interval.

Tottenham must improve v Fulham

Despite the return of many players from injury, Tottenham have still shown very few signs of improvement, and unless that changes, this game could end in another defeat.

Attacking wise, Spurs just haven’t offered anything in the game, with one half chance from mathys Tel the only incident of note in the opening 45 minutes.

If Postecoglou opts to keep Solanke on the pitch, he simply has to find a way to get him involved in the game, which, as of now, he is failing to do.
