Alan Hutton has urged Tottenham to focus on completing a deal to sign Antonio Nusa, rather than turn their attention to Andreas Skov Olsen in the final hours of the transfer window.

Tottenham News revealed that Spurs were interested in signing Nusa during the January window and while the winger had appeared set to join Brentford this month, complications that have risen in his medical mean that the race is back on to secure his signature [Sky Sports, 30 January].

While Spurs have been repeatedly linked with the 18-year-old this month, sources close to the Scandinavian market have told Tottenham News, that Ange Postecoglou's side are also interested in making a January move for his teammate Skov Olsen.

Hutton has admitted that Tottenham may well decide to make a late move for Skov Olsen given Nusa's fitness concerns, but does believe that the 18-year-old would be a much better and exciting signing for Spurs this month.

"Of course, no team has one option," Hutton told Tottenham News.

"It just doesn't work that way because it is difficult nowadays to get deals over the line so you have to have options A, B and C so I'm sure that Tottenham will look that way.

"But Nusa for me is a real prospect for me going forward. He's a really exciting player, really talented and of an age where if he progresses the right way and keeps his feet on the ground, he's only going to go up. His potential is all there for him to explode.

"I would like to see him in just to see what he's got, but like I say there will be other options."

In 16 league appearances for Club Brugge this season, Nusa has registered three goals and two assists from the left wing, however, only six of those matches have seen the Norwegian international named in the starting XI.

Alternatively, Skov Olsen has found the net on eight occasions and laid on four assists for his teammates in 22 matches, however, at 24, the Danish international doesn't possess the same potential or sell-on value as his teammate.
