Daniel Levy cannot afford not to make major changes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the summer.

Although Tottenham have progressed to the Europa League final, thanks to a victory against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (8 May), it has been a disastrous season in North London.

With that in mind, Levy is already putting plans in place for the summer transfer window, in the hope of improving things on and off the pitch before the new season gets underway.

Fabio Paratici agrees Tottenham terms

Tottenham supporters haven't been too keen on Levy's ownership of the North London outfit for some time now and this season, those protests have become even louder.

The Spurs chief is seemingly aware of that and is continuing to add to his staff off the pitch with Fabio Paratici set for a return to Tottenham.

The former managing director of football spent nearly two years with Spurs after joining in 2021 before being banned by FIFA after being found guilty of false accounting.

With his ban nearing its end, though, the Italian is set to return to North London in the summer, having already agreed terms and a deal to return to Tottenham.

According to TBR Football (9 May), the soon-to-be Spurs returnee is keen on Roberto De Zerbi, recommending him to Tottenham, with reports that he is set to have a big say on a potential managerial appointment.

De Zerbi could be the man for Tottenham

It seems as though the only thing that will save Postecoglou's future at Tottenham is getting his hands on the Europa League trophy by beating Manchester United.

However, given just how poor Premier League form has been, even that won't secure his future and it seems as though Paratici has his eyes elsewhere.

Tottenham's Premier League form has been poor.

Tottenham did previously hold interest in De Zerbi and if the incoming Spurs man has recommended his services, this could push Levy to look at him once more.

The manager has done well in his career so far, adapting well to taking a step up when it has been offered and he could well do the same with Spurs.

Furthermore, as a boss who knows the Premier League already, something which Postecoglou didn't have under his belt, that could be a benefit for Spurs.

That being said, this is going to be a big choice for the hierarchy in North London and a decision that has to be correct.

Therefore, Levy and his men must take their time and make sure that if a new face is coming in, it is someone who will be ready to hit the ground running.
