Tottenham could appoint Erik ten Hag if Ange Postecoglou is sacked, according to the latest bookmakers' odds.

The Australian is under severe pressure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the 2-1 loss to Leicester on Sunday (26 January).

If the former Celtic man is handed his marching orders, the Dutchman is amongst the contenders to take over at odds of 10/1 with Paddy Power.

However, Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Kieran McKenna and Thomas Frank are the joint favourites at 11/2, with Edin Terzic second in the odds at 13/2 with Mauricio Pochettino third at 7/1.

Postecoglou on thin-ice at Tottenham?

The Australian is on thin ice at Spurs after the embarrassing defeat at home to the Foxes in which his side took the lead.

That result means that the Lilywhites have won just one of their last 11 Premier League matches and sit just eight points above the relegation zone.

Despite that fact, the club are sticking by Postecoglou because of the ridiculous injury crisis that his squad are suffering from at the moment. [Alasdair Gold]

However, things change very quickly in football and Daniel Levy could be forced to make a decision in the next few weeks if results do not improve.

Spurs supporters will likely not be impressed by the potential appointment of the former Red Devils boss as he dramatically underwhelmed in his stint at Old Trafford.

The best bet for the North London club is probably sticking by Postecoglou and waiting until he gets his injured players back to judge the results.
