Tottenham have agreed to let Ivan Peirisic join Hajduk Split in January, according to Sportske.

The Croatian news outlet reported online (26 September) that during Spurs' negotiations for the confirmed signing of 16-year-old defender Luka Vuskovic, Daniel Levy and Hajduk's president Lukša Jakobušić verbally agreed on the transfer of Perisic.

He is currently sidelined with an ACL injury which will keep him out of action until at least next year, which the club confirmed on 20 September.

Although he was yet to start a Premier League game this season, Perisic had made some important contributions from the bench, most recently assisting Richarlion's equaliser against Sheffield United.

Paul Robinson tells Tottenham News:

“His injury is going to be a huge blow and it's going to be important that he gets it right at his age and where he is in his career.

"He will be a huge miss for Spurs, squad-wise. Not necessarily starting, but to have him around and to have him at the manager's disposal when games maybe aren't going how he wants them to go.

“Whether he's seen his last game in a Spurs shirt or not, time will tell. But I think to have players like that in your dressing room is good. He looks like a good character as well, which is very important.

“Time catches up with everybody and a new manager comes in and has their own ideas of how they want to rejuvenate the squad and bring their own players in. Whether that means moving all the senior players on and bringing younger ones in."
