Ange Postecoglou secured his biggest win as Tottenham manager as his side beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 to reach the UEFA Europa League semi-final.

Postecoglou was fighting for his job in Germany, with Daniel Levy expected to sack the Australian if Spurs had lost against Frankfurt.

As a result, the 1-0 win at Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday (17 April) is no doubt the biggest result of the season for Tottenham, and perhaps one of the biggest results of Postecoglou's entire career.

And the reaction of Guglielmo Vicario and the Tottenham coaching staff demonstrates just how important this win was.

Vicario ecstatic as Tottenham beat Frankfurt

Postecoglou took a risk by leaving Dejan Kulusevski on the bench against Frankfurt.

However, despite Spurs supporters' frustrations with the lineup, the North London outfit were able to get the job done at Deutsche Bank Park, with the full-time scenes that of pure jubilation for Postecoglou and his players.

In a video shared to X by The Athletic's Jay Harris (17 April), Postecoglou's coaching staff could be seen jumping on the Australian when the full-time whistle sounded in Germany, while Vicario also came running over to join in the huddle.

Therefore, despite rumoured tension behind the scenes at Tottenham, it looks as though the players remain firmly behind Postecoglou.

Postecoglou has a chance to turn things around at Tottenham

It was beginning to look as though Postecoglou's time in North London would end on a very flat note.

However, after clearing a huge hurdle by reaching the Europa League semi-final, it looks as though the Australian has a chance to turn things around.

As a result, that Europa League semi-final suddenly becomes one of the biggest games of Postecoglou's career, and one of the biggest games in Spurs' recent history.
