Tottenham are just two days away from their first pre-season fixture against Reading.

Thomas Frank has been busily working with the Spurs squad in training to get them match fit ahead of their first outing together.

It will allow the Dane to witness his players in action first hand, and may serve to better inform the 51-year-old where his squad stands.

Frank remains hopeful of bringing new faces to Hotspur Way, as Tottenham News brings you the latest updates from N17.

Tottenham have been handed a blow as Newcastle have joined the race to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford this summer.

The Magpies were ambitiously looking to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, but Liverpool have stolen a march on the deal, leading them to target the Brentford striker instead.

Frank has been linked with a reunion for Wissa, who has one year left on his deal with the Bees, as the Lilywhites require a reliable replacement for Richarlison.

However, Spurs will be wary that time is running out to sign the highly-sought-after 28-year-old, especially as the West London side are unwilling to let him and Bryan Mbeumo leave in the same window.

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Dexter Oliver from Tottenham. The transfer is expected to be complete within the next 48 hours.

The 16-year-old midfielder made seven appearances for Tottenham's Under-18 squad last season, registering two assists.

Oliver's move comes just weeks after Farren Dorran arrived in the opposite direction as Spurs continue their project to bolster their young prospects.

Spurs officially announced a new long-term partnership with Molson Coors Beverage Company, which will bring Pravha and its range of beers and ciders to fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from the 2025/26 season onwards.

The latest deal will replace a seven-year association with Heineken and will undoubtedly be a more lucrative arrangement for Spurs.

It is the latest example of the business acumen that Daniel Levy possesses, as he continues to boost the finances for Spurs ahead of a transitional period in North London.
