Tottenham insider hails 'absolutely insane' Luka Vušković amid Fabrizio Romano update
John Wenham has praised Tottenham for signing "incredible" 17-year-old defender Luka Vušković.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has been left stunned by the defender's "absolutely insane" progress.
Tottenham signed Vušković from Hajduk Split for £12million, with the centre-back set to join the North London club in the summer of 2025 after he turns 18 (via Evening Standard, 25 September 2023).
According to Fabrizio Romano via X (5 October), Spurs are "very happy" with Vušković's development while on loan with Westerlo in Belgium.
And Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has been raving about the young centre-back.
“He seems to move to these different clubs and countries and slots in with complete ease,” Wenham said.
“It seems like everywhere he goes he becomes the star player. That is crazy for a 17-year-old, absolutely insane. He already has four league goals with Westerlo.
"He keeps scoring these massive, powerful headers, pushing people out the way who are much older than him, he’s incredible.”
“Well done to the recruitment team for getting that deal over the line and agreeing a contract until 2030.”

It seems as though Spurs have signed a player full of immense potential in Vušković.
By the time he arrives in North London, the Croatian will already have experience playing in the Belgian, Polish and Croatian top-flights. Therefore, Ange Postecoglou might be tempted to throw him in at the deep end.
Wenham has also speculated that the youngster could be set to join an EFL Championship club on loan.
However, whatever Spurs decide to do with Vušković next summer, it looks as though they have a player with real star potential on their hands.
