Tottenham have undergone many changes this summer, and this doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.

While Thomas Frank is busy looking for new signings, Daniel Levy is aiming to upgrade multiple areas around the London club.

However, one area many fans would feel does not need changing is the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The state-of-the-art ground was built in 2019 to replace White Hart Lane and is no doubt one of the best stadiums in the world.

Bill Nicholson Gates to return at Tottenham

Despite all of its glory, one of the main things Tottenham’s stadium misses is many of White Hart Lane’s iconic features.

One memorable feature was the Bill Nicholson Gates, which were taken down in 2015 in order to preserve them and avoid any damage when new stadium works were in progress.

The name comes from the legendary manager Bill Nicholson, who had a photo next to the gates in the 1960s.

Now, according to Lilywhite Rose on X (1 July), Spurs are looking to return the gates in the near future.

It was reported that they will be reinstated within the stadium environs at some point this summer.

However, it is unknown where, with further details to be communicated to supporters in due course.

Decision to bring back Bill Nicholson Gates is a great one from Daniel Levy

Levy has rightly been criticised over recent months for the circus show that has been ongoing at Tottenham, but he deserves praise for this.

It would have been easy for the Spurs chairman to lock the gates away and let an iconic piece of Tottenham’s history rot away in storage.

Yet, it now appears they will be returned to their former glory, whether that will be outside of the stadium, training ground or elsewhere.

Hopefully, Levy continues this trend throughout the summer, as it would help bring back the community spirit to the London club.
