Tottenham could finally replace Son Heung-min output as Everton star emerges as priority target

Tottenham have launched a significant offence to sign Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye this upcoming winter market. 

The Lilywhites have been short of consistent attacking options since Son Heung-min departed Tottenham over the summer. 

Indeed, Thomas Frank’s Tottenham have been criticised for their limited creativity and inflated goal-scoring statistics. 

As a result, the North London club have made Ndiaye their main target to reinforce their attack this winter, according to Fichajes on 11 November. 

But given his impressive form for Everton this season, striking a deal with the Toffees will be far from easy.

Tottenham could pay between £60-70million for Iliman Ndiaye 

This heightened interest in Ndiaye follows former Tottenham target, Morgan Rogers, renewing his contract with Aston Villa. 

However, the path to sign the versatile forward will not be easy, given that David Moyes considers him a key member of his squad. 

  • He is contracted at Everton until 30 June 2029
  • Ndiaye could cost between £60-70million 

Spurs must also convince the player himself of a move and will no doubt have to fight off other interested parties. 

It is believed that the North London club’s offer must be adjusted to Ndiaye’s sporting and economic aspirations, and with Everton unwilling to sell this winter, putting pen to paper will be difficult.

Despite this, Tottenham are convinced that strengthening their offence will be key to meeting their Premier League and European ambitions, so the Ndiaye file will definitely be one to watch over the next couple of months. 

Iliman Ndiaye would be a solid investment for Tottenham

Ndiaye would be one of their best transfers in years, if Tottenham manage to pull it off this winter. 

Currently, he plays on the right wing for Everton, with Jack Grealish performing excellently on the left-hand side. 

However, Mohammed Kudus has been sensational for Tottenham on the right wing, so it’s difficult to see Ndiaye replacing him. 

But that means little in the grand scheme of things, given that Ndiaye can play on the left wing and as an attacking midfielder. 

Tottenham have struggled to replace Son’s output on the left wing, while their numerous and frequent injuries have made versatile players a need now more than ever. 

As a result, Tottenham could be better equipped to compete in all competitions with Ndiaye on their team.
