Ange Postecoglou continues to come under fire as Tottenham drop down the Premier League table.

Going into Sunday’s match against Liverpool, Spurs start the day in 16th, a massive drop-off from last season’s fifth-place finish.

The Australian has consistently come under fire for how his side has played, with the club currently on 18 Premier League losses.

While Tottenham are still in the Europa League, Postecoglou is still expected to be sacked, even if they win the trophy, with Jamie O’Hara backing these claims.

O’Hara ‘doesn’t think Postecoglou can stay’ as he slams Tottenham’s form

It is very much possible that the club could finish the season in 17th, simply an unacceptable position.

If there were to be a repeat of this next year, there is a very real possibility that the club would be dragged into a relegation battle.

While it is true that the club has an excellent opportunity to win the Europa League, if the trophy isn’t lifted, the campaign will go down as one of the worst in Spurs’ history.

Tottenham have been awful this season in the Premier League

Now, O’Hara has blasted the club’s position in the table, citing their “unacceptable” losing record as he insists that Postecoglou must leave.

He told Sky Sports News (27 April, 12:45pm): “I'll be honest, I don't know if he can stay. If he wins the Europa League, he's done an incredible job. But he's lost 18, 19 games in the Premier League and that's unacceptable.

“It instils a mentality that you're used to losing matches. Tottenham need to be getting into the top five. It can't be accepted that you lose every week.

“Okay, he might win the Europa League and that will make him go down as one of the greatest managers we've had. But I can't see it changing next season.”

Postecoglou can still turn around Tottenham’s fortunes

While times may seem bleak at the moment, Spurs could still have a successful campaign.

The Europa League is no doubt the main aim, and Tottenham are no doubt favourites to reach the final against Bodo/Glimt.

Spurs could also realistically finish as high as 13th in the top flight, which stop the club from recording their worst-ever Premier League finish.

If Tottenham were to finish 13th and win the Europa League, it would surely be seen as a successful season from the fanbase, which could keep him in his job.

Multiple Premier League wins will no doubt be needed between now and the end of the season.

Therefore, Postecoglou needs to quickly change the club’s fortunes if he is to achieve this.
