Manchester City have shared an utterly ridiculous post on social media after the 4-0 loss to Tottenham on Saturday.

Goals from James Maddison, Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson gave Spurs a huge win on 23 November that could turn their inconsistent season around.

The defending Premier League champions have lost five games in a row for the first time in Pep Guardiola's managerial career and face high-flying Liverpool next Sunday (1 December).

Despite such a damaging defeat, the Citizens shared a highlight reel video from the loss on X in a move that has baffled the majority of observers.

Manchester City make blunder after Tottenham win

Ange Postecoglou has been under pressure this season with the inconsistent form landing the Australian in the firing line.

Before the victory against City, the Lilywhites had won five, lost five and drawn one of their opening 11 Premier League matches.

Such a resounding victory against a top team is already a huge result but City's social media gaffe will make it even sweeter, given they did very little.

It was an utterly baffling post and has given Spurs fans extra satisfaction in the aftermath of the massive performance at the Etihad, although probably not more than Dejan Kulusevski's performance though.

It has also given other rival fans of the Manchester club a lot of amusement in the wake of a shocking defeat for the usually dominant team.

Spurs supporters will hope that the result can give the team momentum and start a charge up the league table for the team.
