Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to return from injury during the club's Premier League clash with Tottenham, via quotes reported by Sky Sports News (29 September).

Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of his side's visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Klopp confirmed that the 24-year-old trained fully on Thursday and was expected to do so again on Friday.

"I'm not a doctor but it looks like he can be in the squad tomorrow and play," said Klopp.

The England international has been out of action with a thigh injury issue in recent weeks.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King told Tottenham News:

"He is a player who has been central for Liverpool and the national team over the past few years. I like him, I think he is a good player."

"Both the full-backs for Liverpool are good full-backs. They're in the class of the Manchester City and Newcastle full-backs. It would have been better for Tottenham if he didn't play, but if he is fit and he is going to play, then they just have to get on with it.

"He certainly won't be a weakness for Liverpool as he is an established player. It would have been a game-changer if he didn't play, but this game is a good test for Tottenham. They had an away test last week, and now they have got a big home game and another big test this week."
