Tottenham are looking to significantly bolster their attacking options ahead of a challenging season.

Richarlison's injury woes and Son Heung-min's struggles when playing centre forward left Dominic Solanke as the Lilywhites' only consistent striker throughout the campaign.

This often left Tottenham blunt in front of goal, with only UEFA Europa League hero Brennan Johnson hitting double figures in the Premier League this season.

Daniel Levy, who appears to be on the verge of appointing Thomas Frank, will be looking to add to Tottenham's firepower and could be in line to secure an exciting double-signing after recent updates.

Eberechi Eze and Bryan Mbuemo on Tottenham's radar

Frank has set out his stall ahead of his impending arrival, expressing to Tottenham that he wishes to bring Bryan Mbuemo with him to North London.

It would prove a costly transfer for Tottenham, who had already earmarked Eberechi Eze as one of their main targets.

However, according to Spurs insider Paul O'Keefe, who was speaking via the Last Word on Spurs podcast (8 June), Tottenham maintain an interest in both Eze and Mbeumo.

On Eze, O Keefe stated, "They [the board] would like to do that deal. I think he’s a player that most definitely is still on their radar."

He later admitted that they are also considering Mbuemo, saying, “Obviously now, their ears have been pricked by Thomas [Frank] with regards to [Bryan] Mbuemo.”

Both players have had stellar seasons with their respective teams, and it would be seen as a coup if either were to sign for Tottenham this summer.

They would bring Premier League pedigree and excitement to the Lilywhites, and should they both be acquired, could give Frank the platform to kick off his reign in North London in style.

Tottenham fans are worried about Frank's style of play

One of the criticisms levied at Frank is that his style of play is very direct and, at times, lacking in excitement and ingenuity.

The Danish manager would argue that Brentford's financial constraints were the key factor and that he can only adapt to the circumstances around him.

This season in particular has shown that his teams can produce an exciting brand of football, and if Spurs were to sign attacking players of the calibre of Eze and Mbuemo, they could be in for a far better spectacle than initially expected.
