Archie Gray is not interested in sealing a loan exit from Tottenham in January, according to Give Me Sport.

The news outlet reported online (11 November) that the 18-year-old believes remaining in North London will improve his chances of making a breakthrough under Ange Postecoglou in 2025.

Gray wants to make an impression on Postecoglou in training sessions as he looks to feature more regularly.

Archie Gray to remain at Tottenham and fight for his place under Ange Postecoglou?

Gray hasn't had much of a chance to feature in the Premier League since his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, he has been given plenty of opportunities in other competitions.

The youngster has started all four of Spurs' UEFA Europa League fixtures, as well as both of their Carabao Cup matches.

Therefore, while he might not be deemed quite ready for regular Premier League football, it is clear that he is still an important part of Postecoglou's first-team squad.

However, that could change during the second half of the season. Should Spurs find themselves eliminated from either the Europa League or Carabao Cup, opportunities might be harder to come by for Gray.

Even if they do reach the latter stages of both competitions, opportunities might still be difficult to come by as Postecoglou might prefer to use more senior players in these matches.

As a result, perhaps Gray would be wise to leave on loan in January, with Premier League outfit Southampton mooted as a possible destination.

However, should he remain, Spurs fans can be confident in the knowledge that they have a committed player who is ready to fight for his future at the club in their ranks.
