Ange Postecoglou has handed Mikey Moore his first Premier League start as Tottenham take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday (27 October).

Postecoglou's side will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce against the Eagles.

After thrashing West Ham United 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday 19 October, Spurs followed that up by beating AZ Alkmaar 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday (24 October), once again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Therefore, the mood will be high among the Spurs players as they travel to South London. Add in the fact that Palace are yet to win in the Premier League this season, and supporters will be fully expecting three points.

However, a disappointing selection decision confirmed via the club's official X account (27 October) might have killed the mood slightly among supporters.

Ange Postecoglou starts Mikey Moore as Rodrigo Bentancur misses out for Tottenham v Crystal Palace

Postecoglou confirmed that Son Heung-min was unlikely to feature against Crystal Palace (via Spurs' official website, 25 October), in yet another injury blow for the South Korean.

Therefore, the Australian had a decision to make regarding who would start on the left.

And plenty of supporters will be thrilled to see that Moore has been handed his first Premier League start, especially after Timo Werner's performance against AZ Alkmaar.

However, those same supporters might be disappointed to see Rodrigo Bentancur dropped to the bench, as was predicted by John Wenham in an exclusive conversation with Tottenham News.

As per Sofascore, Bentancur completed 94 per cent of his passes against AZ Alkmaar, while succeeding with 100 per cent of his dribble attempts.

In addition, he won five ground duels and blocked one shot. Therefore, he might feel as though he had earned himself a Premier League start.

However, Postecoglou has decided to bench him and start Yves Bissouma, and the Australian will be hoping the Mali international rewards his manager's faith in him.
